Women's Empowerment
Group's main thrust has remained on community-based projects relating
to health, reproductive health services, education, micro enterprise
development, and elimination of child labor, etc. It is working at
the grassroots level in the rural areas of Punjab and slums of Lahore.
However, it aims to be a national organization with offices in all
provincial and federal capitals in due course of time.

WEG works for
women empowerment through health, education, and entrepreneurship.
It will be empowering women by creating awareness of their rights
ad making them financially independent through income generation and
self-employment activities with relatively low investment.
WEG has organized
training programs and workshops for women entrepreneurs on available
loaning facilities for setting up small businesses, creating awareness
on entrepreneurial characteristics, and finding avenues for marketing,
etc. The team of committed professionals at WEG realizes the urgent
need to develop the knowledge and skills of women in order to compete
successfully in the market place. It believes that primary, hands-on
research into the problems and issues being faced by women are the
key to diagnose and suggest policy-level recommendations. The same
data would help to develop and deliver relevant and high quality training
programs for those women. WEG plans to design, develop and deliver
training programs, workshops, and on-the-job assistance aimed at the
practical needs of women professionals, especially entrepreneurs and
managers.
